Cristiana and Matthew's Exotic Nuptials: A Tropical dream
We're incredibly delighted to bring you a glimpse of one of our most cherished weddings held at Archeo, in the Distillery District of Toronto. The couple, Cristiana and Matthew, envisioned their wedding to mirror their memorable journey to the lush jungles of Tulum. Their wish was to recreate that exotic atmosphere for their special day and offer their guests a unique and unforgettable experience. "We want it to feel as though we're dancing in the jungle," Cristiana shared with us. We couldn't have been more thrilled to embark on this creative endeavor.
Our radiant bride carried a bouquet blooming with orchids, peonies, white king protea, lilac and white anthurium. This was not your typical rose-filled bouquet but a spectacular display of exotic, high-quality blooms. Mango Studio brilliantly captured the essence of their vibrant and distinctive relationship, with their signature blurred moment photos, as they roamed downtown Toronto and One King West.
Archeo provided us a captivating backdrop of contemporary and industrial design for the reception space and a cobblestone patio for the ceremony. We kept the guest tables simple yet elegant, with folded napkin place settings, favors, and garlands of tropical monstera leaves.
A custom drop ceiling was created over Cristiana and Matthew's sweetheart table and dancefloor, transforming the space into a slice of the tropical jungle. Large silk monstera leaves, palms, tiki bunches, and ferns floated above, creating an immersive environment.
But we didn't stop there. We included a custom wedding backdrop behind their sweetheart table, perfectly complementing the drop ceiling and tying the whole design together. The lush palms and grasses framed this verdant tropical flower wall. A bright neon sign bearing their surname lit up the room. Together with the ambient lighting of the venue, candlelit tables, and a disco ball nestled in the jungle drop ceiling, we curated a tropical-themed wedding where no detail was overlooked.
